Privacy Policy
We keep this short, plain, and honest — the same way we work. This page explains what information we collect, why, and what control you have over it.
Effective date: June 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Heiseik Consulting (“Heiseik Consulting,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit www.heiseikconsulting.com (the “Site”), contact us, or use our services and client portal. By using the Site you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide. When you submit our contact form or email us, we collect the information you choose to share — typically your name, email address, and the contents of your message. If you become a client and use our portal, we also collect account details (name, email, a securely hashed password) and project, invoice, and billing information.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site we automatically receive certain technical data, including your IP address, browser type and settings, device information, referring pages, and how you interact with the Site. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 3). For contact-form submissions we also store the originating IP address and browser user-agent string for spam prevention and security.
Payment information. When a client pays an invoice online, payment card details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Square. We do not receive or store full card numbers; we retain only limited transaction records (such as amount, date, card brand, and the last four digits).
2. How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiries and provide our services.
- To create and manage client accounts, projects, invoices, and payments.
- To operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Site.
- To measure and improve our marketing — including understanding which ads and pages lead to inquiries.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, and to comply with legal obligations.
3. Cookies, analytics & advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies for two purposes: essential functionality (such as keeping you signed in to the client portal) and measuring our marketing performance.
Google services. We use Google Ads (the Google tag / gtag.js) for conversion tracking and remarketing, which may set cookies and collect a unique identifier, your IP address, and information about your visit. This helps us measure the effectiveness of our advertising and show relevant ads. Google’s use of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at Google’s “How Google uses information” page.
Your choices. You can opt out of personalized Google advertising via Google Ads Settings, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and manage opt-outs across many providers at YourAdChoices (DAA). Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies in their settings; note that blocking essential cookies may break parts of the client portal.
4. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the advertising cookies described above. We share information only as needed to run our business, with:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf — including Google (advertising, analytics, and email delivery via Google Workspace/Gmail) and Square (payment processing).
- Legal and safety recipients when required by law, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our clients, the public, or us.
- Business transfers — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy — for example, to maintain client records and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements — and then delete or anonymize it. Contact-form submissions are retained so we can follow up and keep a record of our correspondence; you may ask us to delete yours at any time.
6. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption at rest for sensitive credentials, access controls, and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to opt out of certain processing, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Residents of California (CCPA/CPRA) and other jurisdictions have specific rights, including the right to know what we collect and to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information — note that we do not sell personal information.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@heiseikconsulting.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
8. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites and services we do not control. This policy does not apply to those sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
9. Children’s privacy
The Site and our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. International visitors
We are based in the United States and process information here. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” above and post the updated version on this page. Material changes may be communicated through the Site or by other means.
12. Contact us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your information, contact us at info@heiseikconsulting.com.
